Nominations and winners are determined by an Academy of former film festival students, faculty, and members of the community. Nominations are announced in a video posted on Twitter at 5:30 AM on the Monday before the Red Carpet. Crews are dropped off by limos at the Red Carpet on Awards Night. They answer questions from TV crews and paparazzi.
